Scoring Rules Guide

The Lead Scoring & AI Qualification Module allows you to create fully customizable scoring rules that automatically calculate lead quality, engagement level, and conversion probability based on your sales process.

Scoring rules help your sales team focus on the most valuable opportunities by assigning points to lead activities, profile data, and behavioral interactions.


Accessing Scoring Rules

  1. Login to your Perfex CRM admin panel.
  2. Navigate to Lead Scoring → Scoring Rules.
  3. View, create, edit, enable, or disable scoring rules.

Creating a New Scoring Rule

  1. Click the Add New Rule button.
  2. Fill in the required rule information.
  3. Select the rule type and condition.
  4. Assign points and scoring weight.
  5. Save the rule.

Rule Configuration Fields

Field Description
Rule Name Custom name used to identify the scoring rule.
Rule Type Select whether the rule is based on lead fields or interactions.
Field Name Lead field or interaction type used for evaluation.
Condition Condition used to validate the rule logic.
Condition Value Optional value required for selected conditions.
Points Number of points awarded when the rule matches.
Weight Score multiplier used to increase or reduce rule importance.
Status Enable or disable the scoring rule.

Available Rule Types

1. Field-Based Rules

Field-based rules evaluate lead profile information and custom lead fields.

Examples:

  • Email field is not empty
  • Company name provided
  • Lead source equals "Website"
  • Budget greater than a specific amount

2. Interaction-Based Rules

Interaction-based rules evaluate lead engagement and activity history.

Examples:

  • Email opened
  • Proposal viewed
  • Website visit recorded
  • Form submitted recently
  • Link clicked

Supported Conditions

Condition Description
is_not_empty Checks if the field contains a value.
equals Checks if the field matches an exact value.
contains_keywords Checks if content contains specific keywords.
greater_than Checks numeric values greater than specified amount.
exists Checks whether an interaction exists.
recent Checks whether interaction occurred within specific days.
within_days Validates recent activity inside defined timeframe.

Lead Temperature Classification

  • 🔥 Hot Leads — High conversion probability and strong engagement.

Managing Rules

  • Edit existing rules anytime.
  • Enable or disable rules instantly.
  • Delete unused rules.
  • Recalculate all lead scores after major rule changes.

Best Practices

  • Use a combination of field-based and interaction-based rules.
  • Assign higher points to high-intent activities.
  • Avoid creating too many overlapping rules.
  • Regularly optimize rules based on conversion performance.
  • Monitor analytics dashboard to improve scoring accuracy.

Automatic Score Updates

Lead scores are automatically recalculated whenever:

  • Lead information changes
  • New interactions are recorded
  • Scoring rules are modified
  • Manual recalculation is triggered
